Seven teams are now registered to compete in the 2011 Tybee 500, thank you for taking a minute to fill out the online registration form.
So far these are the teams for this years race. I know there must be 10 or 15 more boats out there that just haven't visited this site to register, if you know someone who has stated they want to do the 2011 Tybee 500 please let them know they need to come here and fill out the simple form. We are approaching two months till the start date and many plans, deposits, and schedules need to be finalized soon, so it is very important to know who will be competing this year.

First Teams Register for 2011 Tybee 500
Three teams have become the first to register their intent to compete in the 2011 Tybee 500.

Changes in 2011 Tybee Legs and Hotels
Teams and support crews should be aware of checkpoint changes for 2011.
Detailed information on 2011 stops and hotels are checkpoint locations now available. See updated link in the Race Info menu and the Competitors Corner.
New for 2011 is a change from Jupiter to Jensen Beach and three hotel changes, check the list and book your rooms as soon as possible to get the best rate. Each hotel has a Tybee 500 discount for the checkpoint dates, so be sure and mention the race when you book.
2011 Tybee 500 Registration Now Open
Teams can now begin registration for the 2011 Tybee 500 by using the online registration form.
We are looking forward to the biggest and best Tybee 500, so if you have plans to enter the race please use the form to let us know. We will publish and update a list of the teams entered on this site to help you gain sponsors for your team.

Quick summary of changes from last year.
- Dates: The 2011 Tybee 500 will start Monday, May16 and finish Saturday, May 21, 2011.
- Possible additional classes beyond the F18 and Nacra 20 classes from last year.
- Change in finish of Leg 2, now finishes at Jensen Beach.

2010 Tybee 500 Race Results and Wrapup
Thirty stalwarts of the beach catamaran sailing community took sail on 15 boats May 10th, 2010 to face the elements in a grueling race to Tybee Island, Georgia, some 560 miles from the starting point in Islamorada, Florida.
